Ngare Serian Overview

Ngare Serian is an exclusive, intimate safari camp located in the Mara North Conservancy of Kenya. Owned by veteran guide Alex Walker, it is the sister camp to "Serian The Original" and is specifically designed for travelers seeking a high level of seclusion and privacy. 

Ngare Serian is cosy and intimate camp sitting at the banks of Mara River in the Mara north conservancy. The camp can only be reached on foot, over a narrow rope bridge – and in a way the crossover is symbolic: a call to step out of touch and out of time, and give yourself over to the natural charm of the place.

Accommodation

Ngare Serian has 4 vast, spacious tents all set on hardwood deck above the Mara River with the views over the Oloololo Escarpment. Each tent has adjoining bush bathroom with hot and cold running water, flush toilet and a shower.

• Location & Access: It sits on the west bank of the Mara River and is accessible only via a long, narrow rope bridge, reinforcing its isolated feel.
• Accommodation: The camp consists of only four massive marquee-style tents built on raised hardwood decks. Each tent features a Zanzibar four-poster bed and an outdoor bathtub built into the veranda, allowing guests to soak while overlooking pods of hippos in the river below.
• Exclusivity: Every booking includes exclusive use of a 4WD safari vehicle with a dedicated private guide and spotter, allowing guests to dictate their own schedule.
• Activities:
  • Wildlife Viewing: Unlimited game drives, including off-road and night drives which are permitted in the private conservancy.
  • Walking Safaris: Guided walks in a 1,500-acre private conservation area where vehicles are not allowed.
  • The Nest: Guests can choose to spend a night in "The Nest," a unique treehouse sleepout located within the concession.
  • Fly Camping: For a more adventurous experience, temporary "fly camps" can be set up in remote areas.
