Mudumu National Park is a remote, water-rich conservation area located in the Zambezi Region of northeastern Namibia, characterised by its riverine ecosystem along the Kwando River. Known for an authentic wilderness experience and low visitor numbers, the park is home to large populations of elephants and buffalo, and over 400 bird species.

• Location: Northeastern Namibia, in the Zambezi Region, bordered by the Kwando River in the west.
• Size: Approximately 737 km² (285 sq mi).
• Ecosystem: Unique for Namibia, featuring broad floodplains, riverine woodlands, mopane forests, and seasonal wetlands.
• Access: The park has rough sand roads and should only be explored with a 4x4 vehicle or by boat.
• Best Time to Visit: The dry season, from July to October, offers peak wildlife concentrations along the Kwando River as animals congregate near permanent water sources.
